Pre and Post Natal Support
Leverage the experience and collective knowledge of over 500 moms of multiples in the Boston MetroWest area with kids ranging in age from newborn to 45 years old!
- Mentor/Buddy Program - Upon joining WSCMMOTA you are paired with a veteran member who is available to assist you to navigate the club’s resources..
- General Meeting Discussion Rooms - Ninety minutes of each monthly WSCMMOTA General Meeting is dedicated to age-based discussion rooms.
- Yahoo Groups Email Forums - Members-only email lists to ask general questions, solicit help, sell and buy used twin gear and get recommendations on everything from car seats to pre-schools.
Social Networking
Meet and get to know a diverse audience of great moms! Socialize at monthly meetings, club-sponsored activities for mom and the whole family and get assistance in organizing a local playgroup.
- Neighborhood Gatherings - WSCMMOTA members are grouped by region to encourage local get-togethers (aka: moms’ nights out.)
- Club Sponsored Family Activities - Each Fall & Spring WSCMMOTA coordinates family fun events at local kid-friendly venues such as Tougas Farms &Playtown Express.
- State & National Conventions - The MA Mothers of Twins Assoc.and the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. run annual conventions in nearby and national venues. These networking and informational events offer a great opportunity to meet other moms of multiples from MA and across the country.
Educational Resources
Raising twins is a unique experience. Many parenting resources assume only one child and ignore the complexities of two or more same age children. WSCMMOTA provides access to written and on-line resources from numerous sources to help our members remain educated on multiples-specific topics.
- WSCMMOTA Newsletter - WSCMMOTA produces a monthly newsletter that highlights club news and activities as well as topical articles written by and for members.
- State & National Club Resources - The club is a member of the MA Mothers of Twins Association which is a chapter of the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. The NOMOTC executes national surveys and research studies on a whole host of topics.
Community Outreach
WSCMMOTA supports members-in-need, local community shelters and other charities dedicated to child needs.
- Club Assistance - WSCMMOTA offers outreach to members-in-need.
- Community Service Event - includes donations to St
George Church food pantry and this year we made over 90 fleece blankets for donation to
NICU’s at local hospitals. Our November meeting is all about giving back – and
such a wonderful time to do so. You do not need any special craft skills to
participate, just bring your holiday spirit!
- Semi-Annual Product Donations - Members bring various items to General Meetings that are donated to a local shelter.
Marketplace
WSCMMOTA members can purchase gently-used clothing and equipment from other members.
- Public Semi-annual Tag Sale Events - WSCMMOTA coordinates 2 tag sale events a year where over 50 members sell clothing, gear and toys to other members and to the public at large.
- Yahoo Groups Email Forums - Members post items for sale via our members only online email forums.
